Our retreat center rental has a range of accommodation options which is perfect for facilitators who want to create a pricing range for their northern California retreats. From private cabins to bunkhouse beds, each cabin space is newly renovated and cozily furnished. Our camping meadow fits another 15 tents or 4 large glamping tents. This flexibility makes our retreat center rental ideal for different types of retreats, from intimate gatherings of 10 to larger groups of up to 40 guests. This range of types of group accommodations makes it easy for facilitators to have a wide pricing range for their retreats. When we host our breathwork and wellness retreats here our most affordable ticket price is for bring your own tent camping. The private cabin spaces are then priced at the higher end of our pricing model. From facilitators looking for a venue in northern California to rent for their retreat…

1. What is the maximum capacity of Spirit Camp Retreat Center?
   Spirit Camp can accommodate 10-40 people for overnight rental bookings. Generally, we communicate that the maximum capacity for our retreat space is a group accommodation of 50 guests overnight. For day events we may be able to accommodate more but parking is limited.

2. Are Spirit Camps Retreat facilities accommodations suitable for small and midsized groups?
   Yes, with private and shared cabins we have beds for 20 people. Our camping meadow that is part of the retreat rental can accommodate another 20 people. Thus the retreat center is perfect for groups of 10, 20, 30, and 40 people onsite. You can also have another 10 guests travel from offsite if you want to reach a maximum retreat capacity of 50 guests. (Occasionally we can accommodate groups up to 70 individuals but that is based on the specifics of the gathering.)

3. Does the Spirit Camp retreat venue offer private and shared lodging options?
   Yes, it offers both private and shared cabin options. We now have 3 private spaces, 3 spaces for 2-4 people, and 1 large bunkhouse that sleeps 8. (This is as of March, 2024… beds capacity and spaces may have been added since that time so please reach out).

4. What amenities are available for facilitators hosting their gatherings at Spirit Camp?
   The retreat site rental includes many amenities, including a sound system, yoga mats, heaters, blankets, and a cater-ready kitchen. The facility is especially set up for spiritual retreats and healing retreats. See our retreat rental page for more information on all that is included!

5. Is the location of the retreat center accessible to attendees?
   Located in Northern California, it's 3 hours from San Francisco and Oakland. Being that many Bay Area retreat centers lack date availability and have very steep pricing, Spirit Camp offers a great option for those looking for a northern California retreat location that is reachable from the bay. A large majority of the retreats hosted here serve as a retreat space for those in the Bay Area and surrounding areas.

6. Does the retreat center provide on-site catering or kitchen facilities?
   It has a cater-ready kitchen stocked with utensils for groups of up to 40 people/guests. Larger group rentals can be accommodated with additional planning.

7. Are there spaces for both large group activities and smaller breakout sessions?
   Yes, it has a 1500 sq ft lodge for group activities and a 500-foot sanctuary for smaller sessions. The meadows and hiking trails are also perfect for a range of group sizes.

8. What types of indoor and outdoor activities does the retreat center accommodate?
   Suitable for all types of workshops, trainings, mini-conferences, team-offsites, small family weddings, family reunions, and private gatherings. As a healing retreat site for rent, it is one of the best locations in northern California for accommodating: meditation groups, mindfulness retreats, spiritual practices and ceremonies, embodiment and dance workshops, yoga retreats/training, workshops, wellness activities, outdoor dining, and group campfires.

9. Is the retreat center in a natural setting, and does it offer outdoor exploration opportunities?
   Spirit Camp is set in 27-acres of redwood wilderness and is a fully secluded retreat space. We have private hiking trails on the property. This fully private sanctuary of nature feels like it is in the middle of a wilderness preserve while being only 5 minutes off of Highway 1, and a 10-minute drive from the town of Mendocino. It’s the best of both worlds: a secluded private redwood forest near the amenities needed to make a gathering easefull to host. There are many beautiful walking bluffs and beaches within a 10-minute drive in either direction of the camp. Lush ferns, grasses, and trees abound in every direction and we are only 1.5 hours for Ore Hot Springs.

10. Does the retreat center have a policy regarding technology use (Wi-Fi, cell service, etc.)?
    WiFi is available and some cell providers do work at camp. However many of the facilitators that host their mindfulness retreats and wellness retreats here do ask their participants to forgo the use of their devices to fully sink into the sacredness of the space and the retreat healing activities being offered.

11. Are there any restrictions on the type of activities or workshops that can be conducted?
    Spirit camp is a space free of substances. If you are looking for a venue for large parties that include alcohol or other substances we are not the right fit for your event. But if you are looking for a place to host a magical retreat focused on healing and connection, Spirit Camp is a retreat rental property perfectly suited to hold your special gathering.

12. Is this an exclusive retreat center rental?
    Yes, your booking means you have full and exclusive access to a private retreat center experience. When you rent the space you have full access to the 27 acres of private redwoods forests. Making Spirit Camp a special private retreat space in northern california.

13. Does the retreat center offer any specialized equipment (e.g., yoga mats, audio-visual equipment)?
    Renting the grounds includes use of our equipment such as our sound system, disco ball, piano, and wood-burning stove in the lodge. We are especially well suited to mindfulness retreats, and for yoga retreat center rentals in Mendocino. We have yoga mats, cushions, and floor seating for up to 40 people.

14. How does the pricing structure work, and are there any hidden costs?

    When you rent the facility for your group you are responsible for the planning a logistics. We provide all retreat organizers with detailed guidance on all of the offerings and arrangements of the space for you to easily plan your retreat and events here. 17. How does the retreat venue handle dietary restrictions and special meal requests?
    When you rent the retreat space for your gathering you are responsible for hiring your own chef. We can provide recommendations for chefs in the area who are wonderful at planning menus for all dietary needs. Currently, our kitchen is vegetarian-only food preparation.

18. Is the retreat center environmentally friendly or sustainable in its operations?
    Located amidst natural redwoods, we are very conscious of our impact on the environment. We ask all guests to be mindful of water use and to recycle all applicable materials. As we have conducted renovations the majority of lumber has come from trees carefully selected and milled on the property. And in everything we do strive to create harmony with the abundance of wildlife around us to maintain the serene natural tranquility of this special northern California retreat space.
